We (7 now 60yo blokes) go for a weekend to different cities each year before Christmas and found this hotel one of the best for the money. Ideal location for the old town and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Top Tip
The Central Market, Station and the new science and arts buildings are great, but give the beach a miss in late November. Nearby Sagardi good for breakfast and good Tapas at El Kiosko (near Plaza del Collado) and Cerveceria 100 Montaditos (Plaza Reina).

The location of the hotel was excellent for walking to the old town, etc, but was appalling if you wanted to get any sleep. Whilst it was on a semi-pedestrianised street, the rooms at the front overlook a nightclub which kicks out at 5am. Noise from music & people in the street coming to and leaving the nightclub were clearly audible all night. Also, leading up to Easter, Valencia has a firework festival. On the Sundays, displays start at 7am (that's right, not pm!) and last for two hours. The location of the display was very near to the hotel. It would have been nice if the hotel staff had warned the unsuspecting visitors of this.
Otherwise, breakfast was good, and the rooms modern if a little small.

Very good location - although quite difficult to find by car. Left car in underground car park for 3 days for 30 euros - a bargain.
Top Tip
Take the open top bus tour - good value for 12 euros.
Lots of good restaurants and tapas bars in Plaza de la Reina

Great location for wandering around the old town. Lovely room, however hotel let down by a lack of good customer service - some staff (not all) were a little stern.
Top Tip
Hire bikes and cyle through the gardens of the River Turia ending up at the City of Arts and Sciences and the Aquarium.
Must try restaurant on C. Sant Vicent Martir opposit the church at the end of the road, it is great on two levels - tapas at the bar was yummy with a great atmosphere and the food off the menu upstairs was a real treat. Oh and try the Cider!

Very reasonably priced, friendly and quiet hotel in an excellent location (off the main street) in the old town. Easy access to all parts of Valencia. The glass door on the bathroom might be disconcerting to some but we got used to it!
Most of the historic buildings are nearby. A short walk to the plaza de ayuntamiento to pick up a no 19 bus will take you to the city of arts and sciences or further on the beach (flat fare E1.15). Lots of places to eat just around the corner.
