The Hotel Ingles is very centrally located in the heart of the Centro Historico Norte within a heart beat of the Plaza de la Reina. 15 minute walk to Xativa metro station where you can get to the beach or 10 minutes to the Turia gardens or the el Carme district. Clean rooms with all the basics and an hospitable staff. Breakfast buffet running for most of the morning includes meats, cheeses, fruit, juice, cereal, yoghurt, coffees, breads and pastries.
Top Tip
The Mercado Central (open 10-2) is very close to the hotel and a good option for picking up fresh fruit and snacks of all sorts for a day at the beach; it is closed Sundays. There is also a supermarket attached to the Cortes Ingles just south of the hotel. There is a cinema in close proxmity, south of the hotel, for relaxing during a hot midday. Wandering the streets of the old town and Carmen area is very enjoyable and you can pick up a great 3 course meal for a good price if you choose a menu del dia for lunch.

Comment
The people in the hotel were helpful and pleasant. They gave good advice when asked about places to eat and where to find transport.
Top Tip
Try the area behind the Catherdral for food. The ceramic museum was opposite the side entrance of the hotel (just a step away). The Tourist Bus stop was at the end of the street and was a good way of making decisions about where to go. The No.32 bus to the beach also stopped very close to the hotel.

Centrally located for restaurants, shops etc. 10 minutes from metro stations, 1 minute from bus stop to the beach.
Top Tip
The metro is an efficient way to travel from and to the airport, and from the town to the beach area and Grand Prix circuit.

This is a really nice hotel in a central location, but let down only on a really poor breakfast. Hot stuff was cold, cereals not replenished and fridge was virtually empty on 2 out of 3 days.
Great for access to town centre and 5 mins walk to train station for transport to circuit.
Top Tip
Stayed here for Moto GP weekend. Check out the bull ring and fantastic architecture in the town.

Ideally situated being so close to the Reina Square, Tourist Info and tourist buses - such a pretty square. I have stayed at Melia Ingles 3 times now and will definitely go back - a small but friendly hotel. Tea/coffee making facilities in bedrooms would be an added bonus.
Top Tip
Some good eating places in the square and a 'must try' is the chocolateria (Valor)for self-indulgence. Well worth a visit is the Palau de la Musica, The City of Arts & Science, L'Hemesferic & L'Oceanografic.

Comment
Ask for a room overlooking the Ceramics Museum next door, especially a corner room where you get two windows and the room is bigger.
Top Tip
A visit to the City of Art and Science is well worthwhile, as is a trip to the port which has been upgraded with bars and restaurants for the America's Cup boat race.
